Popular picture of the Day! Blue Lake in the in the Tasman Valley of the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, was originally named that due to it's intense blue colour. Unfortunately these days, the lake is more green than blue with brown algae growing on it's surface. Nevertheless, it is still a stunning place to visit especially at night.
