Popular picture of the Day! Wonderful weather. Not the lightning that was supposed to happen, but wonderful all the same. 5 vertical images all at 8 seconds exposure. I think it looks better on black. via 500px http://ift.tt/1FHEaDS

Dutch Sunset by MarcelWitte

Popular picture of the Day! This is a bridge with a story. While shooting, my Big Stopper ND filter fell in the water! As it is an expensive filter, I decided to go in the water and search. It was 2 meters deep but already in the first dive I managed to grab my filter out of the water :)) via 500px http://ift.tt/1QnT1xF

Seljalandsfoss, Iceland by pvanderheyde

Popular picture of the Day! Ever since I saw Elia Locardi's shot of Seljalandsfoss, I knew I wanted an image of this waterfall as well! So last week I finally went to Iceland and this one was on my "must do"-list ;-) Not much room for crazy composition, just go as wide as possible to fit in the rocks, waterfall and sunset. To get a balanced exposure of both the rocks and the sunset, I braceted from -3 to +2 and used Lightroom 6 new merge to HDR. Afterwards I manually blended the sky from one of the darker exposures to get a more natural image and blended the sunburst from a f22 shot. Finally tweaked some colors in Photoshop and Color Efex Pro. Nothing to fancy, it really was this beautiful over there :-) (This place was the only place were the moss was so green, I figure because of the constant spray of the waterfall). Hope you like it! via 500px http://ift.tt/1Hoxhvz
